Laudemus! 2026 Evensong tour is underway

The singers of Laudemus!, under the direction of Jeremy Jackman, are ready to embark on the choir’s 2026 choral evensong tour of Dorset’s churches. The first service takes place on Tuesday 11 August, at 6.00 pm, at St John the Baptist, Broadstone. In addition to the introits, canticles and anthems listed on our 2026 tour page, the services will also include psalms, responses, final dismissals and hymns — many enriched with Jeremy’s own fauxbourdons and descants. Much of this additional music has been composed especially for Laudemus!, and we remain convinced that no one writes a descant quite like Jeremy. A particular highlight of the 2026 tour will be the first performance of newly commissioned Preces and Responses written for the choir by Sarah Dacey. These will be sung at Wimborne Minster on Saturday 15 August, also at 6.00 pm. Choral evensong has often been described as the jewel in the crown of Anglican worship. We warmly invite you to experience its beauty and stillness as Laudemus! offers a rich blend of musical and spiritual nourishment, open to all — whatever your faith background or none.
